Luxembourg: Supporting upper secondary education curriculum development

SCRIPT (Service de Coordination de la Recherche et de l'Innovation p├ędagogiques et technologies) is the responsible body for curriculum revision in Luxembourg. On request of SCRIPT, SLO supports the organisation in the preparations for the upper secondary education curriculum.

The Luxembourgish educational context is becoming increasingly diverse, as more and more students speak other languages and have different cultural backgrounds. The educational system has three main languages of instruction, depending on grade and subjects. Luxembourgish, French and German are all used in education.

The support is long-term for a period of four years and focuses on:

  1. A successful approach towards collaborative curriculum development
  2. The development of a shared curriculum framework
  3. Investigating possible routes towards language use and language education.
